Druzy is a gemstone cut into cabochon form with tiny crystal formations on the surface - like tiny grains of sugar. Many druzy cabochons are totally natural .  Druzy really sparkles with the light and Duzy is the latest in gemstones.  Some of the cabochons are not even being made any more. 

Druzy is 7.0 on the hardness scale. It is found in the interior of quartz geodes. It is extremely fine quartz crystals, often dyed.

The term "enhancement" is defined to be any treatment process other than cutting and polishing that improves the appearance (color/clarity/phenomena), durability, or availability of a gemstone.

Many people confuse gemstone enhancements with the terms synthetic, man-made, lab-grown or other processes which involve the creation of materials not found in the earth. Natural gemstones are those created by natural processes. Man-made, laboratory grown or synthetic materials are those created by non-natural processes. Enhancements are additional treatments performed on natural, or synthetic materials to generally improve their appearance. A natural gemstone that is enhanced is still considered a natural gemstone.

Some gemstone enhancements are less stable than others, meaning that some treatments are temporary.
